On the one hand, I think that mostly the production kinks are already all worked out, for most fonts. For the remainder, most of the kinks will be worked out this year. At least, as much as required …5 -

Do you have the second edition of Cheng’s book? It adds a great deal of material compared to the original. My other top recommendation would be How to Create Typefaces: from sketch to screen by Henes…1 -

This was added in a later version of FontLab. When stylistic sets were first introduced, there was no mechanism for naming them. That was added some years later, IIRC, so at first apps did not expose…2 -
